A haunting, icy elegy — ephemeral, enigmatic, and unforgettable, carrying whispers of a life suspended in time.
Isdal Maiden is a fragrance born of mystery, memory, and absence. Inspired by the nameless woman found in Norway’s Isdalen Valley in 1970, it moves like shifting air across frozen terrain — metallic, icy, and sharp — before softening into the faint traces left behind in forgotten belongings. Powdered touches and ghostly whispers conjure the delicate memory of a face in half-light, while ephemeral trails of smoke and ash curl through the air. This perfume is not about answers, but questions: a memorial, a mirror, and a haunting presence. Drawing inspiration from real perfumes found in her suitcase, it carries her essence forward in scent — ephemeral, unknowable, yet impossible to forget.
Please note: Each bottle of Trace Evidence is carefully crafted in small batches by me, by hand, in my little apartment studio where all of Trace Evidence comes to life. I use the highest quality resins, natural oils, and professional perfumery materials, so some cloudiness or sediment may naturally occur — a hallmark of artisanal perfume-making. Because of the handcrafted nature of these fragrances, bottles may require 1–2 weeks of processing time, as some perfumes are freshly blended and bottled on demand to ensure the best quality and scent integrity. Thank you for supporting this labor of love and for sharing in the craft!
